The international site of the SVDP reports “We have received the following news from our Territorial Vice President, Renato de Lima, on the situation in Chile.”
The National President of SSVP Chile, Francisco Velasco, has had no reports of any injuries or deaths among Vincentians. Nor are there any reported deaths or injuries among those helped by Vincentian Conferences (families, or old people) so far. The Superior Council will produce a register showing the situation of our families, in order to see what happens. An old people’s home in the town of TALCA was damaged or partly destroyed, but none of the old people was injured, as they were all evacuated beforehand.
