brothers-of-charityThe ‘Belgian Vincent de Paul’ Peter Joseph Triest, founder of the Brothers of Charity, was born on the 31 August 1760 in Brussels. They are dedicated to tending the sick, sheltering poor workmen, caring for the aged and people suffering mental illness,  instructing and bringing up orphan children and young people of every condition.  He died on 24 June 1836.
