350-jpgA Virtual Vincentian Expo will be VinFormation’s contribution to the many resources being developed around the world for the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the death of Vincent and Louise. Although there are some wrinkles to be ironed out you can get an idea of what is already available. (Warning: it requires newer versions of browsers.)

The site gathers Vincentian material under the headings of Arts, Literature, Media, Legacy as well as sections devoted to Vincent as priest and Louise as Social worker.  It will be a supplementary source of information to the official international site coming soon in 5 languages.

Oh, in case you are wondering VinFormation is the newest addition to the famvin.org site in English. The original emphasis was on serving as a newspaper and uses what is commonly called blogging software. A few years ago we added a reference section called the Vincentian Encyclopedia which has over a 1,000 articles and is modeled after Wikipedia. This newest addition, VinFormation, emphaiszes using the Internet as a means for providing quality formation material for adult learning about the Vincentian charism.

We welcome your comments and suggestions. They will be very helpful in its further development.

Warning: the site will not display well in Internet Explorer 6 or earlier. Firefox or Safari are recommended, These browsers are more secure that most Explorer versions.
