Major sports figure proposed by Los Angeles SVDP as “Outstanding Youth Role Model”

Former major league outfielder and current Los Angeles Dodger broadcaster Rick Monday received the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Council of Los Angeles’ 2008 ‘Outstanding Youth Role Model’ Award for his work with the Society and its outreach to disadvantaged and at-risk youth.
