Special Olympics Ireland joined together with the Daughters of Charity Service for those with intellectual disabilities to create a health promotion pilot project. ‘No Frontiers’ presenter and Special Olympics supporter Kathryn Thomas, presented the 25 participants of the programme with certificates at St Vincent’s Centre in Dublin. The 10-week programme covered nutrition information, involved sports, such as aqua-aerobics and dance.
