USydYV, or the University of Sydney Young Vinnies Conference, is a branch of the youth division of the St Vincent de Paul Society, based at Sydney University.Among their activities:

Buddies Days involve a group of volunteers hosting a day out for young children from disadvantaged homes. The outings may involve a picnic, a day of games in the park, a circus show or a trip to the movies – anything that sounds like a lot of fun (for all involved)!

The outings last for a few hours and provide an opportunity for the children to have a fun time together as well as allowing the parents to have a period of rest and relaxation.

Three Night Patrol services in the Sydney region (Inner City, Liverpool & Parramatta-Penrith).

The service involves volunteers driving a small van in the abovementioned areas and offering food & a warm drink, as well as friendship and conversation, to the homeless who live on the streets.
