The Congregation of the Mission (Vincentians) has an International Mission in the Solomon Islands, about 12 km from the capital, Honiara. There there is a community of confreres working in the Holy Name of Mary Regional Seminary, as well as in Nazareth Apostolic Centre (a Lay Formation Centre) and a Rural Parish. The confreres are from the Philippines, Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, and Croatia. Candidates are beginning to be attracted to the Congregation and so consideration is being given to opening a House of Formation there. In September, Fr Greg. Cooney CM, Provincial of the Australian Province of the Vincentians, visited the Solomons. Some photos from his visit are available.
