Come celebrate the good that is Niagara University writes Joseph L. Levesque, CM, President of Niagara University in the Niagara Gazette.Niagara University will begin a yearlong celebration of its 150th anniversary. Nearly 70 priests from around the diocese and elsewhere, together with three other bishops, will join the Most Rev. Edward U. Kmiec, bishop of Buffalo, in celebrating Mass at 11:30 a.m. in the upper level of the Gallagher Center. At 3:30 p.m., Franc Cardinal Rodé, C.M., and four past presidents of the university will be among the honorees at a special convocation.
I extend an invitation to the Western New York community to join with us in these activities. For the last century and a half, Niagara University has been deeply involved in community, and so it is only appropriate that we open our arms to our friends and neighbors at this special time in our history.
