The Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System said Monday that it has appointed Mary Jo Gregory as executive vice president and chief operating officer, both newly created roles.
Gregory will direct the nine-hospital system from its headquarters in Lenexa. Selected through a national search, Gregory has been charged with “continuing work in achieving performance improvement and operational excellence,” the health system said in a release.
Gregory most recently was CEO of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, a Tenet-owned hospital in Palm Beach, Fla. She also has been CEO of multihospital systems, including MetroWest Health System in Framingham, Mass., and St. Luke’s Health System in Phoenix.
