DELHI TWP. – The nuns didn’t wear habits to their pool party.
In fact, the Sisters of Charity haven’t worn habits in 37 years.
About 500 members and associates of the Sisters of Charity Roman Catholic religious order – dressed in blouses and slacks – traveled from across the nation and other countries for an intense five-day planning extravaganza that ends here today.
Dubbed the “Gathering,” this was their first planning session ever and the first international meeting in four years for the Sisters of Charity. They’re hammering out goals at the Cincinnati order’s College of Mount St. Joseph headquarters. The order’s focus areas are membership, advocacy and direct service, earth, mission and community.

Although much of the session was intense, the group also participated in events to let off some steam.
