INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Today at 7:00 a.m. at the St.Vincent Children’s Hospital main lobby, Sister Mary John Tintea, chaplain, St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital, was recognized on live television by “Good Morning America” as the “Greatest Football Fan in America.” Sister Mary John was surprised by a crowd of approximately 100 St.Vincent associates, patients and families for the contest celebration.

Sister Mary John won two passes, round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations to this weekend’s Super Bowl XL in Detroit. She will also receive VIP treatment during the weekend festivities, as well as dinner with Colts quarterback, Peyton Manning, and behind-the-scene tours of the Super Bowl Show and “Good Morning America.”

St.Vincent Health associates produced and submitted a two-minute video to “Good Morning America” of Sister Mary John riding around in her Colts-decorated scooter visiting cardiovascular unit patients, and catching a video-animated touchdown thrown by a St.Vincent associate.

“Sister Mary John is an avid Colts fan, but is even more respected throughout St.Vincent for the compassionate counseling and support she provides to families in desperate situations,” says Vincent C. Caponi, CEO, St.Vincent Health. “She can regularly be seen around the hospital wearing her No. 18 Peyton Manning jersey the Friday before every Colts game.”

Immediately after the celebration, St.Vincent associates and ABC News sent Sister Mary John and her guest, Sister Catherine Kelly, vice president of Mission Services, St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, in a limousine for their journey to Super Bowl XL.
