SYDNEY, October 2, 2005 (vinnies.org.au): John O’Neill, NSW/ACT State president of the St Vincent de Paul Society, writes for The Catholic Weekly – In August this year, 28 young St Vincent de Paul Society volunteers from NSW/ACT embarked on a pilgrimage to Cologne, Germany, for the 2005 World Youth Day celebrations. It was a profound and enlightening journey for all as they sought to deepen their faith and their relationship with the mission, the spirituality and the historical, social and cultural significance of the St Vincent de Paul Society. Young Adult Vinnies volunteer Jeannine Ashton says it was a journey full of many memorable highlights.
