The St Vincent de Paul Society is steeped in spiritual tradition. Its members take their place in the Church with strong, but humble, conviction, with confidence in their spirituality and in the work they do. Part of this conviction evokes a keenness to share what they have; to point out aspects of this tradition and ask others, “Would you like to join us?”
The Society continues to place great emphasis on the importance of members deepening their relationships, respect for each other and Christian love, as the Mission Statement encourages them to do in their Vincentian work.

Currently, the Society in NSW/ACT has more than 21,000 members and volunteers who are deeply committed to its mission and ethos. The Society is blessed to have such a large number of dedicated members and volunteers who work very hard to help people in every area of need.

The Society acknowledges, very much so, the importance of recruiting people of all ages to further the good works of the organisation. Young people in particular will be a major focus in ensuring that their support and faith can lead the Society in future years.
