From 12-17 September 2005, Fr Gregory Gay CM, the twenty third successor of St Vincent de Paul, made his first official visit to Great Britain. Fr Gregory is the Superior General of the Daughters of Charity
and the Congregation of the Mission and the “head” of the world-wide International Vincentian Family. During his short stay he spent quality time in:1.Central London, 2.Liverpool, 3.Lanark, 4.Glasgow.ccompanied by Sr Sarah King-Turner, Provincial, and members of the Provincial Council, Fr Gregory made a daytime visit to the Daughters of Charity in each location seeing something of their ministries in the service of the poor. He also addressed an area gathering of the Sisters and entered into a dialogue with them specifically about the new emphases in their new Constitutions & Statutes. The Sisters also had the joy of celebrating the Eucharist with Fr Gregory.
