As young and adult members of the VMY, we have to dedicate ourselves to the task of evangelization. That is to say that we are to proclaim the Gospel with the objective of bringing to Christ and to His Church every baptized Christian so that they may become evangelizers themselves. And this can be possible with the work and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Let us recall that at the beginning of the Third Millennium, John Paul II called us to “put out into the deep” and commit ourselves to a “New Evangelization” with new ardor in its methods and expression. Paul VI in his apostolic exhortation Evangelio Nuntiandi also told us very clearly that, “There won’t be new humanity if in the first place there are no new men without the newness of baptism and life based on the Gospel.”
