A Pennsylvania newspaper defines the uniqueness of health care by the Daughters of Charity as Community Serevice.Community service is what makes Good Samaritan such a unique community hospital. Since assuming sponsorship of Good Samaritan in 1980, the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent dePaul have been committed to providing health care that is safe, works well and leaves no one behind. Technologically, much has changed at Good Samaritan since the Daughters’ arrival here a quarter century ago, but one thing that has not changed is their dedication to provide the best health care possible to all who need it. Through the Daughters’ leadership, Good Samaritan provided $3.4 million in charity care or community benefits last year.
