“We as an organization are able to engage individuals on any level that they’re comfortable with and interested in,” says Jewell.”You can do anything when you volunteer with us,” says volunteer manager Rebecca Jewell. “Everything from business plans to tracking our accounting processes … working in our food center, serving meals to our guests, helping teach computer literacy.”
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Roman Catholic, nonprofit social services agency. Its programs include individual assistance, drop-in centers for homeless and low-income men and women, a dining room serving 800 to 1,000 meals a day, five thrift stores and a food locker.
