The following is an example of how a local community can focus on a specific project as part of a “house plan”.”The confreres at DePaul Residence in Queens Village, NY decided to take a special focus on the “commodification” of water this year (2005) in our house plan.

This project will serve to focus our own efforts as a group on a project for the poor and to continue our efforts to be an on-going education resource for local Vincentians.

We also hope to extend this invitation to join in our effort to the larger Vincentian family in the NYC metropolitan area. The goal of the project is first education about the issue, and secondly, what kind of advocacy and financial support we might pursue.

Editor’s Note: I attended a very informative discussion of a simple powerpoint presentation that took place after a pleasant meal. They did this two nights in a row having extended the invitation to each of the other CM houses in the New York area.

They provided the following list of informational links
