The Midwest Province under the leadership of Fr. James Swift,
C.M, Provincial has chosen to build a retirement residence for Vincentians
at Perryville Missouri. Since the building of the Shrine Chapel in 1929, the church of St. Mary’s of the Barrens has served as the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. These renovations will require the eventual removal of 6
buildings and the building of the new one. During this time there will be
an album of pictures of what is here now and what is happening on a weekly
basis.
