This Mass was shown on the programme, which goes out every Sunday morning on French national TV, called « Le Jour du Seigneur » i.e. « The Lord’s Day »Each of the following sentences is followed by photos of what on behind the scenes.

FRIDAY EVENING: three enormous Television vans (trucks) arrived and parked outside the main entry to « 140 ».

SATURDAY: the chapel was invaded by technicians busy about many things. There was a team of 23 persons, setting up their projectors, cameras, microphones etc….

The presence of the van gives an idea of the size of the event that will be broadcast direct on the 2nd national channel: a recording studio in a space measuring 75 m2; screens and technicians at the different consoles linked direct with the technicians in the chapel. There was a very good atmosphere.

When everything was ready, priests, readers and choir took part in a practice or “dry run” of the proceedings. Everything was programmed to the minute, refined, and orchestrated.

We really admired the team work, the synchronisation, the competence and keenness of the technicians, organisers and co-ordinator to produce “a job well done”. Everything had to be perfect.

SUNDAY: televised Mass at 11 o’clock

We forget the practices and the cameras, and begin our celebration of 3rd Sunday of Advent, which expresses the joy that announces messianic era: the Kingdom is among us.

Let us confide our Christmas preparation to Our Lady.

THANK YOU AND BRAVO TO THE TEAM OF THE “LORD’S DAY”.
