Long committed to the prophetic mission of the Canadian Religious Conference, Sister Margaret Toner assumes her new position as CRC director November 17 in Montreal.
“It’s a privilege to be working with people who are so strongly commited to the prophetic role of religious life,” says the former congregational leader of the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception. (SCIC)
“I find them (CRC) a very hopeful group of people with the vision and determination to remain a force for change where change is needed” in both church and society.
Established in 1954, the CRC represents leaders of Catholic religious communities in Canada. There are about 26,000 sisters, brothers, and priests in its member communities.
