I would like to share with you my experience of the Youth 2000 (www.youth2000.ie) National retreat to Knock (Ireland) which took place last week (August 5th to 8th 2004) from Thursday until Sunday.
The drums, guitar and piano playing made the music so strong.Last Thursday I set off to Knock for the first time having never being on a retreat or even visited the shrine in Knock where Our Lady appeared 125 years ago to fifteen people, young and old along with St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist.
What happened in the following four days was truly amazing and I thank God for bringing me to this retreat. I arrived to find a music session in progress in the Adoration chapel and within a few minutes I was captivated by the uplifting atmosphere of prayer and praise by so many young people aged from 15 to 35. It was electrifying, the drums, guitar and piano playing made the music so strong.
