Furhter background – Worldwide there are 10 million refugees who fled their homes and countries due to war or other tragic circumstances. In just the past year, nearly 200,000 Sudanese sought refuge in Chad to escape a brutal conflict in Sudan’s Darfur region. With the help of our donors, World Vision provides emergency supplies and services to refugees like those in Chad.
But our work doesn’t stop there.
We also help to resettle people when they are finally able to return home. During the past decade we’ve assisted returning refugees in countries like Rwanda, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, and Burundi.
