Sister Sara Butler, a Missionary Servant of the Most Blessed Trinity and docent of systematic theology at St. Mary of the Lake University, Mundelein, Illinois has been named to International Theological Commission
She is one of the first two women to be named to the Commission.

B.S., Fordham School of Education; M.A., Catholic University of America; S.T.L. University of St. Mary of the Lake, and Ph.D., Fordham University. Dissertation “Intercommunion in an American Perspective”. Author of numerous articles. Member of Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission, Catholic Theological Society of America, and North American Academy of Ecumenists.
She also serves on the U.S. Bishop’s Committee on Doctrine.
