The Vatican press office has announced that the Holy See’s web site is now the primary means for providing information about the Pope and the Vatican.
During the 2003 calendar year, the Vatican web site had 22 million visits, for an average of about 60,000 a day.
Most of the visitors to the Vatican web site came from North America, with Europe a distant second. The United States produced the greatest number of visitors, following by (in order) Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Sapin, Brazil, and France.
