On Saturday 27th September over 600 people from all corners of Scotland gathered at the statue of St Vincent De Paul for the first national pilgrimage to Carfin Pilgrimage Centre.
The pilgrims were led by Bishop Ian Murray of Argyll and the Isles. Bishop Murray expressed his delight at being there as his diocese can boast of having missioners sent by St Vincent himself.  It was at Barra that two Vincentian Priests,  Fr White and Fr Duggan began the mission in Scotland.
