In his report to the Superior General, Fr. Joseph Foley, representative at our office at the UN, wrote that the Poverty Eradication Committee, on which he works, produced a study, which was distributed worldwide, and which contains a series of examples of “the best practices in poverty eradication.” The results of this study, which were received by the Economic and Social Committee of the UN, will be available on http://www.CM-NGO.net or by contacting Fr. Foley directly at: Jpfcm@netscape.net In addition, other important reports were developed in connection with the meeting of the Commission for Social Development. They are: 1. Social responsibility of the private sector. 2. National and international cooperation for social development policies and role of international financial institutions and their effect on national social development strategies. 3. The role of employment standards in bringing about social development of people. Any of these reports are available on request.”
