Headline from the site of Australian CM. – SYDNEY, January 24, 2003 (cathnews.com.au): A Media ReleaseĀ  from the St Vincent de Paul Society today states – There are, in fact, 2 – 3 million people living in poverty in Australia today. Despite this, there is often a sense of denial that, as a nation, we have a problem. Or that we could possibly have any solutions. The St Vincent de Paul Society believes we have both. To this end Vinnies is undertaking a nation-wide survey on Poverty and Disadvantage in Australia. The full Media Release can be read on theĀ  CathNews Site.Ā Ā Ā  The Survey itself, in which everyone is invited to take part, can be downloadedĀ  through the St Vincent de Paul Society Site or directly from their Survey Page .Ā  Part A of the Form is for anyone, Part B is for those experiencing poverty.Ā  Forms have to be submitted by the end of Frebruary.
