The members of SIEV (International Secretariat for Vincentian Studies) held their annual meeting in Kraków (Poland) from 12-14 September. Some of the topics treated were: 1) an evaluation of the Vincentian Month for Advisors of the Vincentian Family (Paris, July 2002); 2) the intention to establish communication with the other groups of Vincentian studies; 3) the coming publication in Vincentiana of the various studies on J. G. Perboyre; 4) the list of documents from the Holy See for the CM and the Vincentian Family, beginning in 1878; 5) the possible diffusion, in collaboration with Vincentiana, of a part of the same on a CD-Rom; 6) the need to promote interest in the care of our provincial archives; 7) the promotion of studies on the Social Doctrine of the Church from a Vincentian point of view. The members of SIEV paid special attention during a visit to our Provincial Archives in Poland, which are very well cared for, the library and the museum of the Provincial House. SIEV noted the shortage of young confreres in the CM who are specialists in Vincentian topics: a generation of scholars is disappearing and a new one is not emerging.
