As of July 1, 2002 the five USA provinces of the CM will operate as a new entity, the National Conference of Visitors of the United States (NCV), with John Sledziona as its first elected President.According to a fax sent June 11, “While the five provinces of the United States remain juridically independent, and while the provincials with their councils remain free to contiue to work out among themselves mutually agreed-upon forms of interprovincial collaboration, the Superior General, with the consent of his council and the unanimous recommendation of the Visitors of the United States, is hereby reconstituting CUSAV as the National Conference of Visitors of the United States (NCV).”
The National Conference will meet at least three times a year. It is charged with developing a mission-driven plan for:
a. the renewal of community prayer and community life in the houses of the Congregation in the United States
b. the apostolic works of the entire United States
c. vocation ministry and formation in the United States.
