The article Louise de Marillac and Elizabeth Bayley Seton: Women of
Spirit by Anne Higgins, D.C., and Betty Ann McNeil, D.C., appears in

This poetic rendition compares and contrasts the life experiences and
spiritual journey of Louise de Marillac and Elizabeth Bayley Seton as
women who were wives, mothers, and widows involved in social ministry
and spiritual leadership leading to their transformation in Christ and
sanctity.
