Dine Out to End Hunger!  With this tag St. John’s Bread and Life celebrates its 30th anniversary and kick’s off an innovative partnering with local restaurants to benefit those who hunger. From their newsletter….

Dear Friends,

We are excited about continuing our 30 is Enough! campaign, commemorating . We started the celebration in September with an event that kicked off this year-long campaign, reflecting on our origins and looking forward to the future, toward broadening and deepening our programs and services to those in need and continuing to address the great indignity faced by so many—hunger.

The celebration of our 30th anniversary continues on November 7th and 8th with 30 is Enough: Dine Out to End Hunger!  The Dine Out event brings together an array of some of the best restaurants and food establishments in Brooklyn and Manhattan to support our mission of feeding those in need.  These restaurants and food establishments have shown their heart for our community by pledging a portion of their proceeds on November 7th and 8th to Bread and Life. We can’t thank them enough!

Check out our website at www.30isenough.org for a list of participating restaurants and choose from the growing list of great places to dine or purchase some wonderful food to take home.  We encourage you to take yourself and your family out and support a favorite restaurant or dine at one you’ve always been meaning to try.  Tell your friends and colleagues as well and encourage them to join you in supporting Bread and Life. Let’s all show the generous supporting restaurants and food establishments that we appreciate their commitment.  You will feel great knowing that a percentage of your bill will be donated by the restaurant to benefit Bread and Life!  Your support ensures that St. John’s Bread and Life will continue to be able to serve over 2,200 meals every day to people for some whom it may be their only meal.
