According to RomeReports (Video) World Youth Day 2011 has built a strong following in social networks such as facebook, where they have over 200,000 fans. Their profile has been translated into 20 languages, the most recent being Romanian and Hungarian.

The translated pages were created by volunteers who administer the day to day updates to the site. The out reach program has also been popular on other websites such as Tuenti, a popular social network in Spain.

On their fan pages, youth from around the world are organizing events and groups to help promote World Youth Day. They also post messages on the website sharing their excitement for the pilgrimage to Spain in the summer of 2011.
