It is not a soap opera or a telenovela. There really is a German language opera that is a little known fruit of the 350th anniversary celebrations
Prof. Richard Joseph Sigmund wrote an opera depicting scenes from the life of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac. All 450 tickets were sold.
As a worldwide family we are blessed with many creative and celebrative people. as the recent posts about the Vincentian Family celebrations at World Youth Day and in Bolivia show us. And the Pope reminds us of the power of music and the arts.

Would *LOVE* to know more about this! Is there a recording? Or a score/libretto available to look at?
Unfortunately you know as much as I do. The website may give you some clues for following up especially if you are comfortable with German. I will try contacting a German Vincentian to see if I can get more information.
Here is the link to an online version of the opera “Vincent and Louise”

I also have the program which contains the libretto if you are interested.
