On Sunday morning, October 16, leaders of the Vincentian Family in Kenya gathered at the DePaul Center of the Lazarists (CM’s) for a meeting with Fr. Joe Agostino, CM, the coordinator of the international Vincentian Family Office (VFO.) The session provided us with another opportunity to know one another better. We also spoke about the many ways in which the Kenyan Vincentian Family is working together effectively on behalf of those living in poverty. We also discussed the 400th anniversary of the Vincentian Charism and how 2017 might be the year of “Welcoming the Stranger” in Kenya.
The meeting ended with an invitation by the VFO to continue to explore ways in which the existent collaborations can be strengthened and extended to include other branches of the Vincentian Family which are also in Kenya.
