Sister M. Chetif becomes the Superior General of the Daughters of Charity, the first successor of Louise de Marillac.

1806

Father Brunnet dies. He was Vicar General with powers of the Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity. He wrote more than 19 volumes of theology and he is known for the suffering and the struggles that he had in getting the Congregation legalized by Napoleon.

The Daughters of Charity open their first house in Vietnam.
