Morning Prayer -- General Assembly --- July 27th, 2015

“You be united in the same mind and in the same purpose” (1 Cor, 1: 10)

Introduction and motivation

Upon waking in the morning we come before you Lord, then the rest of the night that allows us to recover strength to go on your project, the project of your mother. Since we arrived in Spain and met each other, we also have found you in every brother, every smile, every hug, every word, and every look. (A moment of silence to remember the events that have marked us since the beginning of the GA).

  • He will keep you firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus (Christ). God is faithful, and by him you were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose. (1 Cor, 1: 8-10)

Today is a special day, which will depart from our thinking and feeling; and from the light of the Holy Spirit to choose a brother to go before all, leading us to realize the dream of Mary, the dream of VMY.

So from our hearts we present our desire of make true the purpose of the Association, all together with one mind and feel. The contemplation of Christ and attention to the example of Mary shall be the driving force that will allow the Association to attain the following ends:

[1] Form us to live a solid faith in the following of Jesus Christ, the Evangelizer of the poor.

[2] Live and pray like Mary in simplicity and humility assuming the spirituality of the Magnificat.

[3] Foster, animate and maintain the missionary spirit in the Association, especially through missionary experiences, in particular, among the poor and the young.

[4] Prepare us individually and communally to collaborate in the Church and society with other pastoral workers, according to the directives of the hierarchy of the universal and local Church.

Mother Mary, help us to stick together as a community and guide the paths of the Association today, tomorrow and forever. Amen
