Fr. Ed Udovic CM announces a Collaborative Project “What did Louise say?” A searchable database of quotable quotes.

He  writes “As we approach the feast of Saint Louise de Marillac, the Vincentian Studies Institute and the Office of Mission and Values at DePaul University would like to invite you to participate in the second phase of our Vincentian quotes data base projects. Recently, after more than two years of work we debuted a comprehensive online Vincent quote database: http://topaz.cstcis.cti.depaul.edu/quotes. We would now like to move on to create a companion site for Saint Louise de Marillac. This project will be much easier to accomplish since we’ll be dealing with a single volume (Louise Sullivan’s: The Spiritual Writings of Louise de Marillac). This work is available as a downloadable ebook on our digital repository Via Sapientiae: http://via.library.depaul.edu/ldm/11/

How can you help? By reading this volume and jotting down any quotations (not paragraphs or passages) that you find to be striking. Keep a list of these quotations (including page number) and then send the completed list to our office. We will compile everyone’s lists and thus come up with a representative user-based selection of quotable quotes of Louise. We would ask that this be done over the two month period from March 1 to May 1. If you are willing to participate please respond to this email, and we’ll send a couple of reminders between March 1 and May 1.

Sincerely in St. Vincent and St. Louise,

Fr. Ed Udovic
