The AIC does not merely trace its roots back to Vincent but also lives its heritage in its work in Madagascar. Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world. Two million children under the age of 15 go to work every day instead of attending school, according to newly published research by the International Labour Office (ILO), United Nations children’s fund UNICEF and the National Institute of Statistics (known by its French acronym, INSTAT).
