The St. Louis Province of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul has announced that the sisters will leave the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau at the end of summer.

Two Daughters are serving in the diocese, the news release said.

Sister Rosalie Digenan ministers to students of Missouri State University, Drury University and Ozarks Technical Community College as the pastoral associate and director of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for Catholic Campus Ministry in Springfield.

Sister Barbara Dingman is the minister of care for the members of St. Agnes Cathedral Parish.

In the past 73 years, 86 Daughters of Charity have served in southern Missouri in social ministry, health care, education, parish ministry and diocesan ministry, according to the release.

The Daughters of Charity invite all to join them in celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving at 11 a.m. Aug. 7 in St. Agnes Cathedral, 533 S. Jefferson Ave. A reception will follow in the St. Agnes School cafeteria.
