systemicchange-posterSeventy-three delegates from 15 countries representing 12 branches of the family gathered in Bangkok this week to focus on systemic change and how the the Vincentian Family can promote long-term solutions.

Members from the different branches gather for the Vincentian Family Continental Formation on Systemic Change (FamVin CONSYS-ASIA OCEANIA) at Assumption University- Bangna Campus in Bangkok, Thailand from November 9 -14, 2009. Seventy-three delegates from 15 countries representing 12 branches of the family are present. The objectives of this gathering are to train Vincentian advisors and lay leaders and to promote systemic change. FamVin CONSYS is spearheaded by Fr. Manuel, Ginete, CM, Delegate of the Superior General to the VinFam and the International Commission for Systemic Change chaired by Fr. Robert Maloney, CM, former Superior General. Topics presented on the first two days include “The VF Worldwide and the Need for Advisors and Directors” (Fr. Ginete), “ Profiles, Roles & Responsibilities of VF Advisor” (Ana Maria Escaño, VMY –Philippines), “Vincentian Spirituality of a VF Advisor” (Sr. Rose Margaret Alvares – DC India) and “Collaboration in the VF” (Antonius Sad Budianto – CM Indonesia). The remaining three days will focus on the promotion of Systemic Change.
