Adamson University made it again in the annual index of Asia’s top performing IT users being honored by CIO, a regional magazine based in Singapore.IT MAG HONORS AdU AGAIN
For the second straight year, the University was admitted as CIO 100 Honouree 2003 for “having achieved excellence in strategic enterprise IT deployment,” Sales Director Lorraine Lim and Editor Roul Le Blonde certified.

The editor of the authoritative magazine for IT executives said the honorees are “the crème de la crème of organisations across Southeast Asia and Hongkong that have used IT strategically to deliver innovations, value and high returns to their businesses, industries, sectors and societies.” “They are exemplars of IT-deployment excellence, and role models for their counterparts and competitors in the region,” Blonde added.

CIO Asia recognized Adamson’s campus-wide University information system for students and employees that is built on HP-Compac hardware, Microsoft software and 3Com networking technology.

Similar improvements in building an enrolment and treasury system were also noticed last year, giving the University its first CIO Asia award.

This year’s CIO 100 Honourees also include Philippine-based organizations from Lyceum-Northwestern University, MERALCO and General Milling Corp.

In its January 2003 issue, the IT magazine believed that “when the final whistle blew on 2002, these organisations thrashed a second year of vicious global recession, through strategic transformation and careful IT planning.”
