Vincentian Family Homeless Alliance

The following letter comes from Senegal, where the Daughters of Charity are leading a hopeful initiative as part of the 13 Houses Jubilee Project. Rooted in the Vincentian tradition of service to those most in need, the project aims to improve the living conditions of nine particularly vulnerable families in a rural community by supporting the construction or repair of their homes.

The Empowering Change toolkit provides practical strategies and comprehensive resources to tackle homelessness from both local and global perspectives. It is a concrete call to act boldly, with compassion and collaboration.

The Famvin Homeless Alliance (FHA) expresses gratitude to the Congregation of the Mission for their involvement in the “13 Houses” Campaign, a worldwide initiative by the Vincentian Family.

The 13 Houses Project for the Jubilee in Brazil, led by the Daughters of Charity and Vincentian collaborators, has provided housing to vulnerable families, restoring their dignity and stability. Despite financial and logistical challenges, the commitment of the community and the project’s positive social impact have driven its expansion, offering hope and transformation to those facing homelessness.
