From February 7 to May 30, 2026, the Company of the Daughters of Charity is conducting a formative journey for Sisters called to oversee their respective Provinces’ mission of animating the Company’s social media presence.
Each March 25, the Daughters of Charity renew their “yes” to serve people experiencing poverty. Through the 13 Houses Campaign with the FamVin Homeless Alliance, they provide housing, dignity, and hope worldwide—transforming lives across continents through concrete acts of Vincentian charity.
The Daughters of Charity in Colombia fight human trafficking through the Defenders of Lives Network. Since 2009, they have promoted training in schools and communities to prevent, detect, and respond, supporting minors and families. Inspired by the Vincentian charism, they foster a culture of care and collective commitment.
On September 21, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago – Post Adoption Services is hosting a Mass and Reception for adopted persons who were placed from St. Vincent’s Orphanage in Chicago.
Sister Maria José, Daughter of Charity, shares her experience as a missionary in Tunisia, where she accompanies single women and immigrants in vulnerable situations. Through her testimony, she reveals the social, cultural and climatic challenges of the country, as well as the hope that arises from silent and committed service.
Sister Mª Jesús, DC, shares her missionary experience in Senegal, where she lives among the poorest people with simplicity, closeness and dedication, responding to their needs in health, education and inclusion. Her testimony reflects how the Vincentian charism is incarnated in everyday life.
Sr. Françoise Petit, Superioress General of the Company of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, has just been appointed as a member of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
In Tanzania, Sister Jacqueline Gbanga’s “Breaking the Chains” project has helped to protect and educate ten young girls who are victims of violence such as female genital mutilation and forced marriage. Thanks to psychological and educational support, they have regained hope for a better future.
The ‘There’s mice in my room’ project in Yaoundé, Cameroon, equipped a computer room at the Médaille Miraculeuse school, enabling students to access essential digital technology lessons. With support from donors and parents, several computers were installed, greatly improving motivation and teaching, though the room still needs further equipment.
