The Home-Based Care program in Kenya reaches people who are often hidden from public view: the bedridden, the seriously ill, and those who cannot easily travel to health facilities because of their condition.

A free dental checkup camp was held at the newly opened Remedial Education Centre in Nema, Gaya, Bihar, for children with limited access to dental care. Nearly 150 children from Nema and Gothu, another remedial education centre, and some of their mothers benefited from the camp. The children from Gothu walked almost 2 kilometers, accompanied by their teacher and several mothers, to participate.

Sickle cell disease is a hereditary blood disorder that affects the shape and function of red blood cells. For families with few resources, the disease is not only a medical burden. It becomes a daily struggle for medication, information, transport, follow-up, and hope.
