The Rosalie Projects

The Hope Centre for Inclusive Education in Abuja, Nigeria, offers a Montessori program that promotes inclusive learning by enhancing the diverse needs and abilities of students with and without disabilities, both children and adults.

Faced with the deep crisis affecting Lebanon, the Daughters of Charity continue to provide practical and sustainable support to particularly vulnerable populations. In Beirut, the “Singing tomorrows” project aimed to promote children’s education and women’s health.

In Kigali, in the district of Kicukiro, thirteen households were living in very difficult conditions, dependent on small, irregular incomes or sometimes begging. Sr. Olive Nyiranzakira and Sr. Théodosie Nyirahagenimana, Daughters of Charity, launched the “At the good market” project with the clear intention of restoring dignity to women through work and the hope of a better future for their families.

In the heart of Nigeria, in the Eleme region, the Daughters of Charity established the Rosalie Home rehabilitation center in 1995. In this center, which provides shelter and care for women suffering from mental illness and without resources, with the aim of reintegrating them into society whenever possible

A Christmas project in crisis-stricken Beirut, led by Sr. Rita El Khoury, brought dignity and joy to hundreds through visits, meals, gifts, and street outreach. Children, families, refugees, and the elderly regained hope and self-esteem, experiencing celebrations that made them feel valued and no different from others.

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, millions of people have been forced to flee their homes, creating a profound humanitarian crisis. Those who remain face extreme hardship and lasting trauma, particularly children.

The goal was simple but essential: through the purchase of 2 motorcycles, to help two fathers support their families by working as moto-taxi drivers.

The “Breathless” project was implemented in Aracati, a city in the state of Ceará, Brazil, by the Daughters of Charity of the Province of Fortaleza. Led by Sr Patrícia da Silva Gomes, its objective was clear: to create a care facility entirely dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory problems in children at the Sainte-Louise-de-Marillac Hospital.

The “My battle horse” project aimed to offer equine therapy sessions to residents of the “Résidence La Chesnaye” nursing home, in order to improve their physical and psychological well-being through therapeutic contact with horses.
