At Depaul in Odesa, weekly gatherings for homeless women begin with the Serenity Prayer and offer both basic care and spiritual support through stories of biblical women and personal healing. In these encounters, women like Maria find purpose and dignity, while revealing God’s grace to those who serve them.

Supported Lodgings gave Paige, a creative and resilient teen, the stable home and emotional support she needed after a family breakdown left her without a place to stay. With her host Deborah’s quiet guidance, Paige is growing in confidence and independence, learning what it means to feel at home and build a future on her own terms.

Supported Lodgings, as shown through Susan’s journey, offers vulnerable young people not just a roof over their heads, but the emotional support and life skills needed to rebuild their confidence and future. Through personalized care from hosts and coordinators, it creates a nurturing environment that transforms lives, though it faces ongoing challenges due to funding constraints and a shortage of hosts.
