After the joy of the FAVILA 10th continental Assembly in Lima in April 2026 and the first Vincentian Family Continental Assembly of Africa and Madagascar (VIFAM) in Nairobi in June, the journey of communion now turns toward Asia-Pacific. From October 28 to November 1, 2026, members of the Vincentian Family will gather in Prigen, Indonesia, for the 1st Asia-Pacific continental encounter (VIFAP)—a moment to listen, discern, celebrate, and dream together.
Guided by the call to “Growing Together in a Living, Global Charism,” the gathering will deepen the bonds of communion among the branches, strengthen continental and national structures of collaboration, and discern pathways for a Vincentian Family that responds together to the cries of people who are poor and to the needs of our common home. Above all, it will be a celebration of the grace of meeting: different cultures, languages, histories, and expressions of the one charism becoming a living tapestry of fraternity and mission. We are expecting 70 delegates from more than 22 countries.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Vincentian Family of Prigen and Indonesia for welcoming us and for creating a space where life can be shared, relationships can grow, and the Spirit can open new paths. We come as many branches, but with one heart; from many places, but toward one mission. Asia-Pacific now takes its place in this beautiful continental rhythm of encounter.
We also thank all the members of the preparatory committee and the Vincentian Family in all the countries of the region for accepting this call with open minds and hearts. The Spirit of God is guiding us into new adventures as we continue to walk together in a truly synodal and Vincentian way. May VIFAP become another joyful step in a Family that grows together, serves together, and keeps the charism alive for the world.
Guillermo Campuzano, CM VFO
