Today, August 18, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for discernment in responding to fake news and fear.

We live in a time when misinformation spreads rapidly and fear can influence decisions, relationships, and public life. Falsehood often divides communities and weakens trust.

As followers of Christ, we are called to seek truth, practice discernment, and resist the temptation to react without reflection.

Saint Vincent encouraged prudence, wisdom, and careful judgment in responding to the challenges of his time. We are called to do the same today.

We pray for the wisdom to distinguish truth from deception and for the courage to act with integrity even when fear is widespread.

Prayer

God of truth, guide our minds and hearts. Help us reject falsehood, overcome fear, and become witnesses of honesty, wisdom, and peace. Amen.
