Today, August 17, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for volunteer first responders in remote areas.

In isolated villages, rural regions, and difficult terrains, volunteer first responders often become the first source of help in moments of crisis. They serve generously, frequently with limited resources and little recognition.

Their willingness to respond in emergencies reflects the compassion of the Good Samaritan, who stopped to care for a stranger in need.

We pray today for all volunteer first responders. May they be protected from harm, supported in their service, and strengthened in their commitment to saving lives and serving others.

Prayer

God of compassion, bless all who respond to emergencies with courage and generosity. Protect them in their service and make them instruments of Your healing presence. Amen.
